An Open Letter to my Future Husband

I always imagine how you’ll look when I finally meet you, and how I will meet you. I always try to imagine how you stare back at me, how gently you’ll hold my hand, how warmly you will give your embrace, and how restful you will look as you sleep.

I can’t wait for the day to finally meet you, more so, to spend the rest of my life loving you. I can’t wait for it to start and I don’t want it to end.

It doesn’t matter how long I have waited. It doesn’t matter how many people I have met. It doesn’t matter how many heart aches I’ve been through. For as long as you are here with me, I will be okay.

It doesn’t matter if we have differences. Our differences will serve as the bond that will draw us together and nurture our love stronger.

You may not be my first love, but you will definitely be my last. I may have promised my previous loves unconditional love, but the promise I will give you is a promise that I will keep.

I promise to remain as your woman and your friend. When we grow old romance may be less but friendship will remain. I will forever be your friend whom you can talk about anything without holding back.

I promise to take care of you, cook you healthy food, take care when you’re sick, massage your tired body, and sing you a lullaby to help you fall asleep.

I will never get tired listening to your stories, never get tired talking with you, never get tired staring at you, never get tired loving you.

I will love you until my last breath. I will love you with all my heart.
